After an international tendering process, Aircontact were in July awarded a one year contract, with 3 years option, to operate weekly flights to Ørland air base. There will be two flights starting at the same time. One in the south, from Rygge air base and one in the north, from Bodø air base, both heading for Ørland Air base, rotating personnel living in Rygge and Bodø area, while being stationed at Ørland air base. The contract will be flown by Danish carrier, North Flying, using 2 x Fairchild Metro 23 as their main equipment. Aircontact is very pleased in securing such a professional partner for this operation. North Flying AS has its roots all the way back to 1963, and are one of Scandinavia’s largest charter airlines in it’s segment. Together with Aircontact’s more than 50 year history, we feel they were the right partners for such a contract. Flights commenced primo August 2014, and are so far running well.
